By browsing this website or submitting an enquiry you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Information, not advice

The guides, articles and service pages on this site are general information about doing business, investing, relocating and travelling in Mozambique. They are not legal, tax, immigration or investment advice, and they do not create an adviser–client relationship. Advice is given only under a written engagement.

Engagements

Every engagement begins with a written scope setting out the work, the fee, the timeline and what we need from you. Third-party costs such as government fees, notary charges and registry payments are separate from our fees and are passed on without mark-up unless the scope says otherwise.

We depend on the accuracy and completeness of the documents and information you give us. Timelines involving public authorities are estimates based on current practice; we cannot guarantee the decisions or turnaround times of third parties.

Your obligations

• Provide accurate information and valid documents.
• Use the site and our services lawfully, and not for money laundering or fraud.
• Pay agreed fees according to the engagement terms.

Intellectual property

The content, branding and design of this site belong to Mozambique Gateway. You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link, but you may not republish substantial parts without written permission.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for outcomes determined by third parties such as regulators, banks or counterparties.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mozambique, and the courts of Maputo have jurisdiction over disputes, unless an engagement letter states otherwise.
