The options
Maputo offers the widest choice, including international schools following IB, British and American programmes alongside strong Portuguese-curriculum private schools. Provincial cities have far fewer options, which sometimes shapes the posting itself.
Timing and waiting lists
Popular year groups fill well before the academic year. Applying six to nine months ahead materially improves your chances, and we maintain a live view of which schools have movement.
